Lake County is required to submit an Annual Action Plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in order to receive funds from the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), HOME Program and the Emergency Shelter Grant Program (ESG). The County will not receive any direct funding under the ESG Program. However, it may apply for, and compete for, funding under this program.
As required by Federal Regulation for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Programs, Lake County is publishing a summary in the 2024 Annual Action Plan and the projected use of approximately $1,547,605.00 allocated under the FY 2024 CDBG Program, approximately $594,825.00 allocated under the FY 2024 HOME Program, an estimated program income of $90,000, and $114,197.95 in rollover funds for a total of $2,346,627.95. This information is available to the public. Of this amount, the County expects to spend approximately 87% on activities that benefit low- and moderate-income persons.
