Domestic Relations Counseling Bureau

The Domestic Relations Counseling Bureau (DRCB) of the Lake Circuit Court supports families as they navigate family law matters by coordinating appropriate services, monitoring court-ordered referrals, and connecting parents and children with resources designed to address their individual needs and promote the well-being of the family.

The DRCB administers the Mandatory Co-Parenting/ Transparenting class and monitors referrals in pending domestic relations cases for services that may include:

  • Mediation
  • Guardians ad Litem services
  • Reconciliation counseling
  • Parenting skills classes
  • Brief Focused Assessments

The DRCB also connects families with appropriate community-based and therapeutic resources to address their needs and support the resolution of family-related issues.

In addition, the DRCB administers the ADR Fund Mediation Program, which provides eligible litigants in pending court cases with access to mediation services at a reduced rate, subject to applicable economic eligibility requirements.
