Lake County Community Transition Court

Authorized by state statute, the goal of a reentry court is to significantly reduce the rate of recidivism of individuals coming from the Indiana Department of Correction through enhanced delivery of services. The Lake County Community Transition Court accomplishes this by providing targeted services and direct supervision through an in-court process. The Court operates through the supervision of Criminal Court Judge Salvador Vasquez with the assistance of Magistrate Kathleen Sullivan.
